"It was finally here...the day that I dream about...the day of my life....in the church...with friends and relatives and family members at both side of the aisle...all smiling and some with tears glistening in the eyes...As I walk down the aisle with my husband to be...as he took my hand and we turn towards the altar where the minister was, greeting us with smile on his face...
This is the moment that I have waited for so long...just as the minister lead us into our marriage vow...a girl stood up from the congregation and walk to the side of my husband to be and took his hand....another girl came along and stood beside the first girl...followed by another and another until a chain of 5 girls were now standing on his side...Tears flowed from my eyes...Is this some kind of joke?...I'm sorry Joann...there are just the girls from my past..they mean nothing to me now..but to each of them, I've given them a part of my heart. And what is left of it..belongs to you now........."
"How many men would line up next to me on my wedding day? How many times have I given my heart away in short-term relationships? Will I have anything left to give to my husband? "
(cited from I Kiss dating goodbye-Joshua Harris)
It really struck me, and I wonder.....how many guys have I given my heart to and what is left for my future life partner in the end? How many bits and pieces of my heart have I given freely to other guys in my previous relationship and how many more will I give to if I continue in this manner? Experiencing heart pain in a broken relationship is totally unpleasant...

hahha thats why in j.harris book...say hello to courtship...he stated this *we should guard each other's heart* so that if let say we are not meant to be married to one another, the breakup would not be so emotionally overwhelmed and our hearts is still in one piece...
